Welcome to your student home at TalTech Campus

We are an official TalTech-affiliated hostel and a popular home for Erasmus and international exchange students from all over the world. Our Erasmus students stay in a newly opened, modern building located right in TalTech campus. This makes easy to get to lectures, use university facilities and enjoy campus life. Living here also means becoming part of an international student community, meeting people from different backgrounds and building friendships that can last long after your exchange semester ends. Whether you’re staying in Tallinn for one semester or longer, Academic Hostel is a comfortable place to call home during your studies.

We opened the Akadeemia 11/1 building in August 2026, following a year-long renovation. After welcoming Erasmus students during the autumn semester, we are pleased to welcome the next residents to enjoy its newly renovated rooms and modern facilities.

ROOMS

We offer modern, fully furnished, apartment-style accommodation designed with student life in mind. Each apartment has two twin rooms (up to 4 residents share an apartment). Both rooms share a kitchen, a toilet, and a shower. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with appliances and utensils needed for cooking. All rooms are provided with duvets, pillows, bed linen, and towels. For those who prefer more space and privacy, we also offer the option of booking a twin room for single occupancy, subject to availability. All you need to bring are your personal belongings, everything else is ready for you.

LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS

The hostel is located on a modern, green university campus, home to TalTech’s academic and research buildings, student residences, sports complex, innovation centres and vibrant student life. In the pine forest, there is an outdoor gym and a basketball field. The university’s main building is just a five-minute walk away, making it easy to get to lectures, study sessions and events. There are good public transport connections to the rest of the city and free parking is available next to the building. On the top floor of the building there is an outdoor terrace where you can relax in the fresh air and enjoy beautiful views of the TalTech campus.

COMMON AREAS

All residents of the building are welcome to use the conference room located on the first floor, providing a convenient and comfortable space for meetings, group work, study sessions, or smaller meetups. A table football game is also available on the first floor, offering residents a fun way to unwind and spend time together. On the first floor, there are pay-to-use, self-service laundry machines and dryers.

ABOUT PRICES 

We offer students flexible accommodation terms and transparent pricing. For example, no deposit or contract fee is required. Utilities are also included in the accommodation price. The rate is fixed, making it very convenient for budgeting and cost planning. This way you won’t face any unexpected extra costs you haven’t planned for.

The accommodation fee is calculated per night, based on the number of nights you stay. For the first month, your accommodation fee is calculated from your arrival date. After that, payments are made at the beginning of each month.
NB! Although we do not require a deposit or contract initiation fee, prepayment for the first month’s accommodation is required before arrival.
