We are located on the campus of Tallinn University of Technology, close to a beautiful pine forest. The surrounding area offers excellent sports facilities, an inspiring academic and research environment, and opportunities for business and innovation.

UNIVERSITY, LIBRARY AND MUSEUM

The main building, academic buildings and library of Tallinn University of Technology are located near the hostel. The library is open to everyone and can be visited with a one-time visitor card.
The museum offers engaging and educational experiences for visitors of all ages. Its interactive and exciting exhibitions invite everyone to explore and discover.

SCIENCE AND BUSINESS

Just a few hundred meters from our building is Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol, home to many start-ups and growing technology companies. It is a place where science and business meet.

SPORT

TalTech Sports Club offers a wide range of sports opportunities for students as well as for everyone else. Various sporting events are regularly held at the TalTech Sports Hall, and visitors can take part in many different sports activities. There are also several other sports facilities, gyms and swimming pools in the surrounding area, so everyone can find a suitable way to stay active.
Nearby you will also find the Nõmme forest and health trails, where you can enjoy outdoor activities and exercise in fresh air both in summer and winter.

Within just a few minutes’ walk from Academic Hostel, you can find several restaurants and cafés where you can spend time with friends and enjoy good food. Ask our staff for more information and recommendations.

ORGANIZING EVENTS

A few kilometres away is the historic Glehni Castle, surrounded by a park and located near the observatory tower. Glehni Castle offers a unique venue for organizing events, receptions, concerts and seminars.
